Resource Room

Welcome to another wonderful year at Holy Family Regional Catholic School!

At Holy Family Regional Catholic School we feel that all students can achieve. We are committed to identifying and meeting the varied needs of each student through an Individualized Student Action Plan. The resource room strategy is utilized for students with learning difficulties who are able to function in the regular classroom. A student with an identified need will come to the resource room for support of a diagnosed difficulty. The resource room teacher(s) will employ techniques needed to help these students overcome or compensate for their disability. Some students will receive individualized or small group instruction in the resource room on a regular basis. At other times the resource room teacher(s) will work directly in the classroom in conjunction with the mainstream teacher. By doing this, the resource room teacher(s) forge a bond with the mainstream teacher to maximize potential for each student.

The goal of the resource room is to make each student able to work independently at grade level. A child’s success is measured by the goals reached and maintained for each individual learning style. The resource room promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive atmosphere. It is our mission to work cooperatively with families, students, community, colleagues, and other professionals in order to promote each student’s success and well-being as he/she prepares for future endeavors.

Disabilities that are met include but are not limited to, ADD/ADHD, Autism, anxiety, vision deficiencies, reading disabilities, mathematical disabilities, and push-in support in their regular classroom.
