Operation Snowball is. . .

Founded on the belief that with accurate information and an understanding of one’s self, every person has the ability to make sound decisions 

 regarding his or her life.

A program focusing on prevention through educational growth by promoting personal social development.

An emphasis for teens and adults to benefit through sharing feelings and thoughts with each other.

The program consists of four days at Camp Manitoqua in Frankfort. Teens participate in large group sessions, mini workshops and small groups in which feelings and concerns may be openly discussed in a confidential atmosphere.

Operation Snowball has been offered at Homewood-Flossmoor High School since 1981.

The 2024 Snowball

will be held on

November 21-24, 2024

at Camp Manitoqua

Operation Snowflake is. . .

A one-day program for 7th and 8th graders from

Parker Junior High, James Hart Junior High

and Brookwood Jr High.

Operation Snowflake focuses on similar topics as

Operation Snowball with a focus

on junior high and adolescent issues.

The staff includes teens from Homewood-Flossmoor High School who have been to Snowball and adults from both junior high schools.

The 2025 Snowflake

will be held on

Operation Snowflurry is. . .

A one-day event for 5th & 6th graders from Churchill,

Flossmoor Hills, Heather Hill, Serena Hills and Western Avenue Elementarys, as well as James Hart Junior High and Parker Junior High.

Operation Snowflurry focuses on

similar topics as Operation Snowball with a focus on

pre-teen issues.

Staff includes teens from Homewood-Flossmoor High School who have participated in Snowball as well as adults from both HFHS and the elementary schools.
