Pass a background check and required screenings

At Hestia Home Care, we make sure every caregiver feels confident, capable, and fully prepared before stepping into a client’s home. Our training meets California’s home care requirements and gives you the practical skills you’ll use every day.
New caregivers complete:
2 hours of orientation covering your role, expectations, and employment basics
3 hours of safety instruction, including:
Fundamental safety precautions
Infection-control practices
Emergency procedures and response
Each year, caregivers receive updated training focused on:
Client rights and overall safety
Supporting activities of daily living
Recognizing, preventing, and reporting abuse or neglect
Assisting with personal hygiene and related care tasks
Safe transportation practices (if part of your role)
