REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CLASS OF 2026 AND BEYOND:
TO GRADUATE FROM HUSD A STUDENT MUST COMPLETE AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
*Complete the UC/CSU A-G requirements with a grade of C or better in all courses.
*Complete at least two Dual Enrollment courses of 3 or more units each with a grade of C or better. (Does not include physical education or remedial courses.)
*Complete a CTE Pathway of at least four semesters in the same pathway with a grade of C or better.
*Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments in English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics (Grade 11) Receive a score of Level 3 “Standard Met” or higher on both English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics.
*Advanced Placement Exams receive a 3 or higher on two AP Exams
*Two Years ROTC
*State Seal of Biliteracy
*Transition Classroom and Work-Based Learning Experience
*Pre-Apprenticeships
*International Baccalaureate Exams
*State Seal of Civic Engagement
*Complete at least 20 hours of Workability
*Complete at least 20 hours of internship through the HUSD Experiential Learning Program or other approved program
*Complete one year of Work Experience
*State and Federal Job Programs (WIOA, Ca Cons Corp, Job Corp)
*Complete an industry-recognized certification
*Complete at least 20 hours of approved community service
*Other means will be added as designated by the CDE as College and Career Readiness Indicators
Completion of the FAFSA/CADAA is a requirement for all students.
Following the end of each semester, an SHS Letter with Academic Insignia shall be awarded to each student who, for two (2) consecutive semesters, has earned a 3.6 GPA or higher.
Students who earn a 4.0 GPA for two (2) consecutive semesters will also receive a Sultan's Lamp Insignia to place on their Academic Letter. Students are encouraged to purchase their Activities Card for each qualifying semester to receive the letter. Updated 3/2026
