Mr. Jace Biendara, our Work Experience Teacher, will be available to meet with Shadow Ridge Students who need to obtain a work permit. He will be able to answer your questions about getting a job and issue your work permits, as well as give you the opportunity to earn elective credits through his Work Experience class. He is at the Shadow Ridge campus on Fridays from 9:00am-11:00am or you can set up appointments with him via email at: jace.biendara@hesperiausd.org.

The WIOA Youth Program is designed to assist low-income young adults to achieve their educational and employment goals. If eligible, participants work with a Workforce Development Specialist to create a personalized plan for a successful future.

Services include:

• Up to 250 hours of PAID work experience. ($15.00/hr)

• Tuition Assistance for career training

• Assistance developing an employment portfolio

• Soft Skills Training

• Career Planning

• FAFSA Assistance

Eligibility:

• You must possess a picture ID and Social Security Card to be eligible

• Between the ages of 18-24

• No longer attending school (graduated or dropout)
