The goal of my counseling program is to ensure all students develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills that will lead to behaviors that support academic achievement and social-emotional well-being.
Kingston counseling program will provide a variety of services throughout the school year for students, parents, and families in order to support that growth. These services include:

Classroom lessons
Crisis Intervention
Positive Behavior Support
Short-term Individual/Group Counseling

HUSD has partnered with Care Solace, an online resource with a live 24/7 concierge meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health related programs and counseling services.

Conversations between the student and counselor are considered confidential. However, there are exceptions to this confidentiality. If a counselor has reason to believe that a student is being abused, neglected or is a danger to himself/herself or others, the counselor has the legal, ethical and professional responsibility to report such concerns to the parents or the appropriate authorities.
