Class overview

The purpose of this course is to learn the Chinese language, introduce authentic cultural value, and provide a cultural understanding of Chinese perspective, practice, and product in a variety of topics. The central focus of the course is to develop students’ communicative proficiency in Chinese and knowledge of Chinese culture. The course will use authentic materials and the three modes of communication to connect the language forms and functions in meaningful cultural contexts.
