Campers are divided into 3 different groups for the week. Maximum number in each group is 20 campers. There are 2 camp counselors assigned to each group.

8:45am-9:00am Camper Check-in. Look for signs along the Elementary Gym.
Please park and walk campers to the Elementary Gym entrance to Sign-In Monday morning. After Monday, you may do curb drop off between 8:45-9:00am. Outside that time, parents must text the camp line at 317-594-5854 when they arrive for staff to open the door. Inform at check-in if there needs to be an addition to the authorized pick-up for your camper.
9:00am-3:30pm Camp Programming. Please arrive before 9:00 as programming starts promptly at 9:00.
3:30-3:45 Camper Check-out. Same location as morning check-in along the Elementary Gym.
Curb pickup: You may do curb pick up as long as you pick up between 3:30-3:45. Outside that time frame, parents can text the name of their child to the 317-594-5854 when you arrive for pick up. Please have ID ready to show for pick-up.
Park and Pick up: Please park along the curb and text to check-out your camper. Stop at the same door that was used for Check-in along the Elementary Gym side entrance. Please have ID ready to show for pick-up. Please make sure that if a different person is picking up your camper they have been added to the authorized pick up list. Camp staff will only release campers to those listed on their Authorized Pickup list.
All campers must be picked up by 4:00 unless pre-registered for extended care.
Extended Care is an optional service of before camp care and after camp care. This is NOT a drop in service.
The fee includes Morning Care and Afternoon care for the week.
7:30am-8:45am is early drop off times. Doors will unlock at 7:30. Campers cannot arrive before 7:30 am.
4:00pm-5:00pm is after care times. All Campers are to be checked out by 5:00 pm.
How to register for Extended Care?
Add extended care to the week of camp you are registering a camper for. If your camper is coming more than one week of camp make sure to add Extended Care to all the weeks they are attending. If you have other campers in your family attending camp that will need Extended Care, you must register and pay for them as well.
It is the expectation of parents/guardians to only send healthy children to camp each day.
Children experiencing symptoms of illness must be fever free without the help of fever-reducing medication and vomiting/diarrhea free for at least 24 hours before attending or returning to camp.
Students who become ill while at camp will be sent home for:
Fever (100.0 F or above)
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Indications of a more serious illness/contagious disease such as Influenza (the flu) or COVID-19
Indications of pinkeye
An injury or condition requiring a doctor visit
A condition requiring rest at home
*If you are contacted by a camp staff member to pick up your camper, your camper must be picked up within the hour.
If you arrange for someone else to pick up your camper, please let the camp staff know at check-in. You can email daycamp@heritagechristian.net as well. Please email ASAP and no later than 2:00 pm for pick up changes. We are with your campers and not always checking email immediately.
Camp staff will not rely on camper's knowledge of how they are to go home! Only indicated persons on the camper's registration will be allowed to pick up unless communication from the parent/guardian has been updated.
Please label everything with your campers name!
Campers need the following each day:
Lunch for each day--Lunch is at noon each day
Lunch is NOT provided by the camp--Pack a lunch each day
Microwaves are NOT available
Refrigerators are NOT available
2 Snacks (one for the morning and one for the afternoon)
Snacks are NOT provided by the camp
Water bottle-- Water bottles can be refilled at the drinking fountain throughout the day.
Bathing Suit--campers will have water activities outside each day weather permitting
Beach Towel--used for campers to sit on if the group eats lunch outside and during water activities
Sunscreen
Shoes that can get wet
Tennis Shoes--No Flip Flops please. Mulch on the playground and flip flops don't mix well.
Camp staff will only administer prescribed medications from the campers doctor. Over the counter medication, vitamins, herbal supplements will not be administered to campers by camp staff.
All medications must be in the original prescription container with clear instructions on the packaging.
All medications must be dropped off to camp staff at check-in. Medication cannot be left in a campers possession or backpack/bag.
Medication administration forms will be available for completion at the check-in table. This form must be completed for camp staff to have permission to administer prescription medication.
Camp staff will not be able to administer nebulizer treatments to campers.
Sunscreen: Sunscreen is applied each day before heading outside. We recommend applying sunscreen before your child starts camp each morning. Please send in sunscreen with your camper each day.
Hydration: Water breaks are built into the day. Counselors monitor heat and activities and add additional water breaks as needed. We strongly recommend campers bring reusable water bottles to camp. There are refill stations for water bottles in the elementary building.
Weather: Staff closely monitor weather with Weather Apps that identify lightning strikes, storm warnings and watches, and camper activities will adjust to indoor activities when needed. This would include lightning, rain, high temperatures, and weather warnings/watches.
Emergency Preparedness: The security team at Heritage Christian School continually monitors emergency issues. The security team would advise camp staff of issues if they arise. Camp staff will follow the direction of the security team. Camp staff are CPR, AED, and Epi-pen certified.
Food Allergies: Please inform staff if your camper has a food allergy, the severity of the allergy and if the camper needs to eat at a different table due to the allergy.
Poor behavior and bullying will be dealt with immediately. Any issues with a camper will be communicated to parent/guardian. Any camper who hits another camper, staff member, or counselor will be asked to leave immediately and not be allowed to return to camp. A refund will not be extended for any missed days of camp.

To cancel a registration for camp please email daycamp@heritagechristian.net.
If the cancellation is received 30 days prior to the first day of the registered camp, a full refund will be given. After 30 days, no refund will be given.
No financial adjustments will be made if a camper misses a day of camp.
No financial adjustments will be made if a camper is asked to leave camp.
