Learning to Fly
Do you have a Clue who Mr. Plumb is?
I have been teaching high school for 23 years. Prior to teaching, I worked in the fields of Architecture and Engineering as a Drafting Technician and as a Product Designer for 20 years. Many of the blueprints I drew were used to build a lot of buildings, motor homes, flashlights, traffic circles, and other products. After changing careers to become a teacher, I taught in southern California for 12 years. I have been at Heritage Academy Laveen since the school was built in 2014. (Ask me for some cool and interesting stories about the early days.)
I currently teach Physics to 11th and 12th grade scholars. I also teach Conceptual Science or first year high school science to 9th grade scholars.
When I am not teaching I love spending time with my wife and three sons. I also enjoy playing with my two cats. My wife Lisa and I love to garden and we grow our own vegetables in the garden and fruit on our trees in the yard. We like to take DayCations where we go out for one day road trips around this beautiful state of Arizona, there is so much to see and do! We also like to take weekend trips to the beach in southern California. Last summer we also went to the ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the Sierra Nevada mountains where the oldest living things on the planet can be found.
We have been married for 38 years. We have three sons, all who are grown now and live on their own. We have two daughters in law and one beautiful grand daughter.
Finally, do you recognize what that thing is that is shown next to the brick wall in the upper left? It will be a guideline for what we do in Science each year.
