Heritage Academy invites 9th–12th graders to immerse themselves in four unforgettable days of creativity, friendship, and artistic growth at Emmanuel Pines Camp in Prescott, Arizona. The Fine Arts Retreat brings together students from multiple campuses to participate in advanced workshops led by experienced instructors—including Art, Ballroom, Choir, Dance, Drama, Photography, Full Orchestra, Musical Theatre, and a new Guitar Workshop for 2026.
Beyond classes, attendees will enjoy a full retreat experience with campfires, social events, performances, great food, and the beautiful winter weather in the pines. It’s a chance to refine artistic skills, build lifelong friendships, and make lasting memories in a supportive, inspiring environment.

The Puerto Rico Science and Spanish Language Study Tour takes high school scholars (9th and 10th grade) to the island of Puerto Rico for a week of experiencing the history, geography, ecology, culture, food, and language of the island and its inhabitants. Activities may include exploring Old Town San Juan and the historic forts that once guarded the city: Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristobal. Scholars will also visit El Yunque Rainforest, and Las Cavernas del Rio Camuy cave system. Salsa dance lessons, snorkeling at Culebra island, and a nighttime kayak excursion in a bioluminescent bay are also part of the tour. This tour is scheduled during the spring break of the school year.

7th and 8th grade junior high scholars from the Mesa campus are eligible to participate in the Northern Arizona Science and History tour. Scholars will spend two days and one night visiting sites of interest in northern Arizona, such as the Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona University, Lowell Observatory, Walnut Canyon, and Bearizona. Scholars may also have the opportunity to enjoy a Pink Jeep Tour in Sedona. The tour fee includes transportation, lodging for 1 night, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners, and admission to all venues. The itinerary for this tour may vary, depending on campus. The coordination of this tour will be performed by a representative at each respective campus.

The Independence History and Constitutional Studies Tour takes high school scholars (11th and 12th grade only) to numerous sites that are meaningful to our country’s historical foundation in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC. The itinerary for this tour includes stops at Monticello, Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, the National Archives, Gettysburg, Valley Forge, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center, and other historical sites of interest. The tour fee includes all transportation and lodging and most meals.
The Liberty History and Fine Arts Study Tour takes high school scholars (11th and 12th grade only) to numerous sites that are meaningful to our country’s historical foundation in Massachusetts and New York. The itinerary for this tour includes stops at Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, the U.S. Constitution, Plymouth Rock, the Paul Revere House, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. While in New York, scholars also have the opportunity to enjoy a Broadway show and visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tour fee includes all transportation and lodging and most meals.
High school scholars enrolled in advanced Fine Arts classes and programs from all Heritage Academy campuses are eligible to attend the Fine Arts Retreat in January. Scholars will spend three nights and four days (Wed.-Sat.) at Emmanuel Pines Camp located in Prescott, AZ. Transportation, lodging, and all meals are included in the cost of the retreat. Areas of fine arts emphasis may vary each year but typically include Advanced Art, Full Orchestra (band, strings, and percussion), Musical Theater, Ballroom Dance, Contemporary Dance, Yearbook/Photography, Jazz and Show Choir, and Drama. Scholars will spend two full days in intensive study and rehearsal in their selected program in preparation for a live performance and showcase on Saturday morning. Extracurricular camp activities include bonfires, smores, socials, games, and more!

The Florida Science and Spanish Language Study Tour takes high school scholars (9th and 10th grade) to Florida for a week of experiencing the history, geography, ecology, culture, and food of the area. Scholars will visit the Kennedy Space Center, the Florida Aquarium, the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Wild Florida, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and Universal Studios. The tour fee includes all transportation and lodging and most meals. This tour is scheduled during the spring break of the school year.
7th and 8th grade junior high scholars from all campuses are eligible to participate in the Southern Arizona Science and History tour, which takes place every other year, in April. This tour alternates years with the Northern AZ tour. Scholars will spend two days and one night visiting sites of interest in southern Arizona, such as the Sonora Desert Museum, the Pima Air and Space Museum, Tombstone, and the Lavender the Queen Mine sites in Bisbee. Scholars will also have the opportunity to enjoy dinner and a show at the historic Gaslight Theater in Tucson. The tour fee includes transportation, lodging for 1 night, 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners, and admission to all venues. The itinerary for this tour may vary, depending on campus. This biennial tour takes high school scholars from all Heritage campuses to France for a week of experiencing history, geography, culture, food, and language. The itinerary includes tours of numerous Paris landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Place de la Concorde, and Les Invalides. The itinerary also includes a visit to the Normandy region, and tours of Pointe du Hoc, the American Cemetery in Colleville, and Arromanches. The tour fee includes all transportation and lodging and most meals. This tour is scheduled every two years during the spring break of the school year.
