I am a Mesa product having graduated from Westwood High School. I attended Mesa Community College and got my Bachelor's of Mathematics degree from Arizona State University. I followed that up with a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction through Grand Canyon University and have taken several graduate level courses through GCU since then. I love learning and if I could make a career out of being a student I would surely be taking classes at the collegiate level today!
This is my 10th year at Heritage (13th year as a teacher) and I love it here! This school has such a special feel to it, unlike any other I have been at. I continue to grow as a teacher, learning new skills and techniques over the years. This year I am really excited to use a flipped classroom once we are allowed back in person. I think that we will find much higher student engagement and success levels with this new educational model.
Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family! I also really enjoy spending time talking to and doing things with my friends. My other interests include reading, playing and/or watching sports, and games of all types and sorts!
