Mrs. Higgins received her Bachelor of Arts degree from ASU with a double major in English and History. During her teaching career she has worked with both middle and high school scholars. She currently teaches 10th grade English, coaches basketball, and is the advisor for scholar council. She believes strongly in the role athletics plays in developing the minds, bodies, and self-esteem of young people. She is a sports enthusiast and enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing with her brothers. She is also an avid runner who has completed multiple marathons and half-marathons. Mrs. Higgins continues her dedication to scholar education, government, and athletics at Heritage Academy.
