Parent workshop: Metacognition
It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers at Mrs Coombs' workshop on Metacognitive strategies. Mrs Coombs shared some ideas around helping children to think through different approaches to solving problems.
Below is a link to Mrs Coombs' slides. There will be further workshops for parents each half term. The workshops will be on a variety of topics including a workshop on Bullying and a workshop on the Zones of Regulation.

Donations Wanted! School uniform items for reuse
If you have uniform items no longer needed by your children, please consider donating them to the school. We will be able to share these items with other parents and carers. This will help everybody to reduce the amount of clothing going to waste. If you have items to donate, please pass them to your child's class teacher or the school office.
As part of their Geography topic, Year 1 went on a local area walk. They saw lots of different features of the local area and then came back to school and recorded their findings on maps.
