I'm originally from Lake Tahoe, Nevada and am the eldest of four kids.  I moved down to Southern California to attend Concordia University, Irvine where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies, a Clear California Teaching Credential, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I met my amazing husband Lucas at Concordia and we have been blessed with two daughters.  Christie is a senior in high school, and Hannah is in eighth grade, both of my girls have been a part of Hephatha since they were in kindergarten.  I was widowed two years ago.  I have been in education for 19 years and during that time I have taught students in 5th-8th grade.  All 19 years have been at Hephatha!  Besides teaching I love reading, baking, quilting, and taking my dog, Skyler, on walks.  My favorite thing about teaching at Hephatha is that I get to share my faith and pray with my students.  I also love the small family feel!
