2019 STEAM Tank State Finals

Two teams of sophomores from the STEAM Academy will be presenting their ideas in front of a panel of judges in Atlantic City on October 23rd.

The two teams, comprised of Samantha Akers, Chesney Dowds, Layla Ilarraza, Zoey Brodbeck, Maeve Sherlock, and Rebecca Bertekap, were among over 400 teams to enter the 2018-2019 competition. Both teams were selected to attend the regional competition in March 2019. The teams presented their ideas to a panel of judges comprised of Army officers and various STEM professionals. Their ideas included "Puppyable", an edible stuffed dog toy, and "UV Clean", a system to reduce the spread of illness on commercial places.

Both teams worked hard over the summer refining their innovations. We are very excited that both teams were selected to move to the state finals and cannot wait to hear the results!
