Fundamentals of Theatre

We will journey through the history of theatre, from its origins in ancient Greek and Roman traditions to the developments of modern-day performance.  

We will explore the key elements of theatrical design and technology, including basic stagecraft, costume design, sound, and lighting. Students will gain hands-on experience with the tools and techniques used to bring a production to life behind the scenes. 

Students will develop foundational acting skills through focused work in pantomime, movement, characterization, and other essential performance techniques. These skills lay the groundwork for confident and expressive storytelling on stage.
