Students checkouts will start the last week of August.
Students in grades 1 through 5 may check out up to two books at a time. Books can be renewed as long as there is no one on the waiting list to read the book. For the first semester, Kindergarten students will only check out one book at a time, and the books will be kept in the classroom.
All student checkouts are for two weeks. The media center team is requiring students to return both books theyt havce checked out before they can get a new one.
This will ensure that students are being responsible with their books at all time.
When students have a lost or damaged book, their number of book checkouts are limited to only one title until they pay the fine. Any book overdue for more than 30 days will be assumed lost. Checks should be made payable to Woodland Elementary. If paying cash, we only accept exact payment. We are unable provide change.
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds if the book is found and returned after the payment has been submitted.
Students are encouraged to visit the media center throughout the week. Each classroom will have 2 library passes. If Mr. Hawkins is teaching a class or the media paraprofessional is not available to check out books, 3-5 grade students are encouraged to come back in 15 minutes. K-2 students will need to return to their class and check back at another time.
Listen first and follow directions the first time.
