Purpose of school-level Care Team:
To ensure cultural responsiveness, social emotional wellness, and contact with a caring adult are ambitiously pursued and consistently monitored with fidelity and reliability.

What are the responsibilities of the school-level Care Team:
In collaboration with the district Care Team, the school level Care Team will build, implement, monitor, support and deliver professional development around school needs on cultural responsiveness, social emotional wellness, and student contact with a caring adult. The Care Team will guide the development of school commitments around:
∙ Cultural Responsiveness
o PD is developed and implemented for staff (PD available from district toolkit)
o Develop and monitor opportunities for student voice
∙ Social Emotional Wellness
o Identify students who are experiencing academic, social, and /or emotional hardships
o Align community resources to meet the needs of students and families
o PD is developed and implemented for staff
o Calendar of wellness / SEL activities
o Monitoring of 2nd Step, PBIS
∙ Contact with Caring Adult
o Monitor the implementation of the attendance protocols
o Monitor student / staff engagement through attendance and school level activities
o Set-up school-level mentor
