McDonough High School
Hi! My name is Phillip Ivey and welcome to The McDonough High School. I am so excited to be a part of the Warhawk family. I am a Walton County GA native and a 2007 graduate of Monroe Area High School in Monroe, GA. I graduated in 2011 from Baptist Institute of America with my Bachelor's degree and I am currently working on my master's degree from Clayton State University. This will be my 12th year in education. I spent six years at Social Circle Middle School, one year at Stockbridge Middle School, and I am now entering my fifth year here at McDonough High School. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also enjoy coaching. I have coached middle/high school football, middle/high school basketball, and middle/high school golf. I currently serve as the Head Boys and Girls Golf coach here at McDonough High School. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, playing golf, and also cheering for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Atlanta Falcons. I am married to my beautiful wife Hannah, who is also a teacher at Ola Elementary School. We are proud to be a part of the Henry County Schools family.
I'm available on Mondays after school for tutoring, and I check my email frequently throughout the day. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at phillip.ivey@henry.k12.ga.us
