I’m Michelle Neilson, the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for grades 3-5 at Wesley Lakes Elementary. This will be my second year at WLE and my tenth year as a SLP. I'm fully virtual and have great support from a paraprofessional that will be at WLE. I’m dedicated to helping all students thrive by supporting their unique speech, language and voice needs and partnering closely with teachers and families.
I’ve been grateful to be a part of Wesley Lakes since 2024-2025 school year. Originally from Illinois, I've lived in California, Ohio, Texas, and have been in Georgia since 2023. My background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. I've worked in pediatric outpatient/clinics, inpatient/outpatient rehab, and school settings. I'm licensed by American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as state licensed in IL, CA, TX and GA.
I look forward to a wonderful year of empowering my students to find their own voice and growing their confidence.
