My name is Ms. Williams, and I am extremely honored and excited to serve as Smith Barnes Elementary’s 2026-2027 Teacher of the Year. Here at SBE, I have the privilege of being the ESOL Teacher. This is my third year teaching at Smith Barnes and my twelfth year as a teacher. 

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my fiancé. 

I have dedicated my entire career to cultivating strong relationships with both students and parents. I believe that students learn best when they feel known, valued, and supported. As an ESOL teacher, it has been my mission to remove language barriers for students while maintaining high expectations. I’m also committed to creating culturally inclusive environments, so that every student knows that they have an opportunity to thrive. 

I’m looking forward to another amazing school year.
