Late or Missing is not the same as absent
Late or Missing is not the same as absent
Students with accommodations aside, I do not have an official late work policy. In other words, there is not a percentage off, etc. for a certain number of days late. If students manage their time in class, they have ample opportunity to complete their assignment.
Due dates are always posted to the assignments on Google Classroom.
The due date is the due date.
I will always enter the assigned date and due date in Infinite Campus.
When assignments are marked as Missing (M*) in Infinite Campus, students may still turn the assignment in for credit.
When assignments are marked as 0 (zero), the grade is final and students may NOT turn the assignment in for credit.
Students who are absent have as many days as they are absent to complete the work they missed.
I do not remind students to turn in late/missing or absent work - that is the student's responsibility.
Coming to me and asking, "What did I miss?" is not the plan.
Students should look on Google Classroom, read over the assignment and then see me for an explanation or clarification.
