AP Language and Composition
Course Description: During the course, students will focus on non-fiction texts as the foundation for the reading and writing. Political speeches, novels, articles, videos, and other related resources will be utilized. Specifically, the focus is on analyzing rhetoric and the nature of argument. Three modes of writing will be explored in depth: rhetorical analysis, synthesis, and argument. Lastly, preparation for the multiple choice portion of the AP test will take place.
Course Outline and Content: We will be focusing on non-fiction of all genres and authorial backgrounds. Other articles and texts will be used alongside those non-fiction novels.
