Q: How can my student improve their grade?
A: They can complete their work. 40% of students' grades is practice work. If they complete all of their work they will likely be passing the class.
Q: Do you accept late work?

Q: Can we schedule a parent teacher conference?

Q: What do I do if my student was absent?
A: Please send an email to your student's teacher and to the attendance office (SHSattendance@henry.k12.ga.us) with a written excuse, so that we can make sure your student has the opportunity to make up missing work. We will only accept late work from students with excused absences. Students will have one additional day for each absence to turn in work (example: if a student is absent on Monday - all assignments that were due on Monday will be due on Tuesday. If a student is absent on Monday and Tuesday - all assignments that were due on on Monday and Tuesday will be due Thursday.).
Q: Can my student retake their test?
A: Student may retake tests the following week during their extended period (instructional focus) and can only make up to a 75%. If a student misses a test, they must take it within three days of the test day to receive full credit. All missing and failing exams will be replaced by the Interim Exam and EOC scores.
Q: When do students take tests?
A: Students have vocabulary quizzes every Thursday and tests every Friday, the schedule may be modified if we have a break or a teacher workday. Please look at the schedule listed on the home page for exact test and quiz dates.
