In this class, you’ll combine creativity, technology, and logic to create things that matter. No experience needed—just a willingness to learn and try something new.
We’re excited to have you on this journey.
Let’s get started!
Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Brandi Burns, and I’m proud to be your instructor for Engineering Drafting & Design.
I bring 27 years of classroom experience to this exciting learning environment, with a passion for helping students discover how design and engineering shape the world around us. For the past 14 years, I’ve been teaching Engineering Drafting & Design, and before that, I spent 13 years teaching Architecture.
Before I began my teaching career, I worked for 7 years in the career field of Civil Engineering, where I gained real-world experience in infrastructure design, drafting, and project development. That time in industry gave me the practical knowledge and hands-on skills that I now pass on to my students every day.
In my classroom, we focus on real-world applications, industry-standard tools, and creative problem-solving. Whether you’re exploring a future in engineering, architecture, or design—or just curious about how things are made—I’m here to help guide you every step of the way.
I look forward to a great year of designing, building, and learning together!
