As the school counselor, I work with all students to provide academic, career, and social/emotional support. I offer a variety of services including classroom core curriculum lessons, small group counseling, short-term individual counseling, academic advisement, crisis intervention, referrals for long-term support, as well as consultation. I also facilitate school wide programs that promote leadership development, life skills, and character development. In an effort to foster student success, school counselors collaborate with parents, staff, administration, and various local community organizations.
We realize that success for all students begins with a strong home-school partnerships. We appreciate the continued support from our school community.
It is an absolute joy to work with your children! Thank you for all that you do to raise responsible, loving, and respectful kids. Join us as we prepare our Jaguars for readiness in college, career, and life!
The elementary school years set the foundation for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for children to become successful learners. Elementary school counseling programs provide education, intervention and prevention aimed to build each student. There are many reasons for children to seek out their school counselor. The times that we live in can be stressful and difficult. Many personal and school related concerns can have a direct impact on a child’s ability to effectively learn. School counselors provide a safe and confidential environment to facilitate academic and social success. Parental permission is not required to participate in individual or classroom core curriculum activities. School counselors help to build the whole child by directly focusing on social/emotional, college and career readiness, and academic development.
