Can I illustrate what I know about waves using different media?
Can I communicate my knowledge about waves to others?
Standards:
SPS9. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to explain the properties of waves.
SPS9.a. Analyze and interpret data to identify the relationships among wavelength, frequency, and energy in electromagnetic waves and amplitude and energy in mechanical waves.
SPS9.b. Ask questions to compare and contrast the characteristics of electromagnetic and mechanical waves.
Watch this video of me explaining the project choices for Thursday's and Friday's work.
In summary, you have three choices to complete over the next two days. YOU WILL ONLY COMPLETE ONE PROJECT CHOICE.
Project Option One: Waves in the Real World project. Choosing a technology that uses waves, researching your technology, and creating a Google Slides presentation that addresses each of the questions asked on the instructions sheet.
Project Option Two: Electromagnetic Trading Cards. Create physical or digital trading cards with illustrations, definitions, and examples of a list of terms.
Project Option Three: Electromagnetic Spectrum Poster project. Create a representation of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. A physical poster is an option, but you also have a few other ways you can represent the same information in a different physical format or even a digital way.
