This lesson will take place on campus during your assigned class period. Attendance is required.
Any students who are absent the day of the lab need to make transportation arrangments to do the lab on the next Wednesday cafe day from 1:30 to 3:00 pm
Learning Targets:
I can analyze how changes in wavelength, frequency, energy, and amplitude can affect each other. (Reasoning)
I can predict whether the energy in an electromagnetic wave will increase or decrease based on changes in frequency.
Standards:
SPS9. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to explain the properties of waves.
b. Plan and carry out investigations to describe how molecular motion relates to thermal energy changes in terms of conduction, convection, and radiation.
Agenda:
Opening- Read through lab protocol and generate questions
I Do: Secure the Foundation- Review wave concepts learned so far that are relevant to lab
We Do: Wave Slinky Lab
You Do: Complete Post-Lab Analysis Questions
