Title I is a federal financial assistance program for schools located in high-poverty communities. Funds are used to provide additional resources and support to help low-achieving students meet state standards.
McDonough High School is eligible for these funds. Funds provide students with additional segments of reading and/or math instruction by a certified, highly qualified teacher and/or paraprofessional. Funds can be used to purchase support materials in reading and/or math. Also, funds are used to promote parental involvement through an active parent involvement program at the school and system level.
