What is ISS?
ISS stands for "In-School Suspension". It is a disciplinary measure where students who violate school rules are separated from their regular classes and placed in a supervised setting within the school building.
What is required of a student who is in ISS?
When students "serve" ISS, they are in Rm 206 from 8:15 am to 3:20 pm. Or, for the remainder of the school day if they're pulled from class or the hallway.
Students are only allowed to use their Chromebook. No other technology is allowed per school policy. If a student doesn't have their Chromebook, a device can be loaned to them during the school day.
Assignments from teachers are provided the same day for students to complete the work they would in the regular class setting. Students are to complete said assignments and turn them in to Ms. Harris.
Work that is not completed or turned in, is highly recommended to teachers, and the assignment will receive a zero ("Incomplete or "Missing") in the gradebook.
Nobody goes anywhere by themselves. Group bathroom breaks are taken, and we go as a group to get lunches to eat in the classroom.
