We are Hands for Humanity, an organization of students in our wonderful school, Locust Grove High School. We help other students who are in shelters, homeless, less fortunate, and in need during the holidays and throughout the school year.
We are passionate about collecting toys because as teenagers we can imagine how other kids our age or younger may feel going through these difficult times in their lives which are not in their control. We think this is the best way to contribute to making a difference in the future of this community. We want you to imagine their faces with happiness and hope for their future as we have seen in the past years of serving the community. We know as teenagers we do not have all the resources to make an impactful change; however, we know together we can all make a difference.
On December 15, 2023, Hands for Humanity was ecstatic to be able to donate 500 new toys and clothes to the McKinney Vento Program. While also donating 7 toys to a fellow teacher in need, for a total of 507 donated items.
