My name is Edlyn Hernandez, and I'm the K-5 ESOL teacher here at
Wesley Lakes Elementary.
ESOL stands for English for Speakers of Other Languages. In ESOL, our focus is on developing both academic and social language so that English Learners can thrive in their classrooms and school community. We follow the WIDA standards, which guide our instruction and support students' English language development.
I believe that learning a language should be fun and engaging and I can't wait to continue to help our ELs reach their language goals this year!
