I am a proud graduate of the Unsinkable Albany State University, where I earned my degree in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. In 2022, I joined the MHS family as a Warhawk and became part of the Social Studies team—an environment where my passion for motivating and empowering young adults has truly flourished. I am also a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) graduate candidate for the Fall 2025 class at Georgia College, continuing to strengthen my craft and deepen my commitment to education.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and music, all of which keep me energized, inspired, and connected to the world around me.
My teaching motto is “Potential Realized.”
This phrase reflects my belief that every student has the ability to grow, succeed, and rise into their fullest potential when given the right support, structure, and encouragement.
This school year, I will ask students to challenge themselves and take personal responsibility for their education. I will push each student to think both creatively and critically, to stay curious, and to approach each day with a mindset that values growth. In school—just like in life—we should strive to be lifelong learners so we can fulfill our dreams and realize our potential.
Every day, students should enter my classroom with a positive attitude and a readiness to engage. I encourage them to seize the day and seize every opportunity to become the best version of themselves. With that mindset, I am confident they will do well in my class and beyond.

My professional journey has been shaped by a deep passion for motivating, guiding, and empowering young adults to recognize and reach their full potential. Although my path to the classroom has not been traditional, each chapter of my life has prepared me with unique strengths that I now bring to education.
I began my early career as a professional cheerleader, an experience that taught me discipline, leadership, teamwork, and the power of positive influence. In that role, I learned how essential encouragement and morale are to individual and group success—skills that would later translate naturally into my work with students.
From there, I transitioned into corporate America, where I gained critical experience in communication, professionalism, project management, and navigating diverse personalities and organizational structures. Working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments taught me how to remain adaptable, solution-oriented, and committed to excellence—traits that have strengthened my instructional practices and classroom leadership.
Alongside my corporate work, I have always been an entrepreneur, maintaining and managing my own business. Entrepreneurship sharpened my creativity, accountability, and resilience. It required strategic thinking, long-term planning, and the ability to work independently—skills that align closely with the demands of lesson design, student ownership, and classroom culture building.
What remained constant across all of these experiences was my unwavering passion for helping young adults discover their strengths, refine their skills, and step confidently into their futures. Whether mentoring, coaching, or supporting others through my business, I found the most fulfillment in watching individuals grow.
Ultimately, this passion led me to pursue teaching. As an educator, I am able to combine everything I have learned—motivation, communication, structure, creativity, and leadership—into one mission-driven career. My background allows me to connect authentically with students, hold them to high expectations, and support them as they develop the academic and life skills necessary for long-term success.
Teaching is not just a career transition for me; it is the culmination of every experience that has shaped who I am. It reflects my purpose: to inspire, challenge, and empower young adults to realize their potential and step confidently into the lives they are capable of achieving.
I developed a comprehensive digital sponsorship deck to serve as the primary fundraising tool for the senior class activities. The deck was designed for both self-guided donor review (via email link) and formal presentation. It incorporated several instructional technologies: visual data charts to show budget needs, embedded testimonials from past students, and clear hyperlinked calls-to-action. The design focused on creating a professional, emotionally resonant appeal that clearly demonstrated the return on investment for donors.
I created a multi-platform event flyer to promote the "No Fee November Night," an essential workshop for Georgia high school students. The event focused on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and utilizing the month-long fee waivers for applications to over 60 Georgia colleges and universities. Using a design tool (Canva), I focused on principles of visual literacy to ensure the core information—date, time, location, and the call to action, was immediately clear and appealing to both students and parents.
This assignment from my MAT program required a comparative analysis of two distinct Learning Management Systems (LMS) widely used in the K-12 educational environment. The systems selected for comparison were Canvas LMS and Google Classroom. The goal was to research and gather specific information on their features, contrasting the philosophy and functionality. The final deliverable required comparing and contrasting these systems.
