Welcome! I am excited to have you in Precalculus, AP Precalculus, or AP Calculus this year. These courses will challenge you to think critically, solve complex problems, and develop the mathematical reasoning skills that are essential for success in college, STEM fields, and beyond. These courses are designed to deepen your understanding of mathematics while developing the critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills that will serve you well in college and future careers. Together, we will explore advanced mathematical concepts, make meaningful connections between ideas, and apply mathematics to real-world situations.
Success in mathematics is built through curiosity, persistence, and consistent practice. Mistakes are an important part of the learning process, and every challenge is an opportunity to deepen your understanding. Come to class prepared, ask thoughtful questions, participate actively, and never hesitate to seek help when you need it.
My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Together, we will explore the elegance of mathematics, strengthen our analytical thinking, and develop the confidence to tackle difficult problems.
I look forward to an exciting and rewarding year of learning. Welcome to the class!
Hi, my name is Devidas. My goal is to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and principles. I have more than three decades of teaching experience, including three years in Gwinnett County, 15 years in Mitchell County, and a couple of years in India.
I have taught mathematics at both the high school and undergraduate levels. I also served on the mathematics faculty at Albany State University and at a college in India.
I earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Kennesaw State University. I also earned a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, Master of Science, and Master of Education from universities in India.
Throughout my career, I have taught Advanced Algebra/Algebra II, Precalculus, AP Precalculus, and AP Calculus to high school students, as well as College Algebra and Calculus to undergraduate students.
This is my fifth school year at the Academy for Advanced Studies, where I teach Precalculus, AP Precalculus, and AP Calculus.
