What is Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment is a program where high school students can take college courses for free and receive high school and college credit at the same time. The colleges and universities that we partner with are as follows: Southern Crescent Technical College, Gordon State College, and Clayton State University.
Students interested in Dual Enrollment should speak with their counselor. Students must apply to the post-secondary institution of their choice and contact the institution's Dual Enrollment Advisor. Once accepted, students must complete the Dual Enrollment online application at GAFutures.org.
Students can either take their Dual Enrollment courses at the Academy for Advanced Studies campus, at the college, and/or online depending on the college/courses they enroll in.

The law requires that you conference with your high school counselor before being approved to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program.
During the initial meeting with your counselor, you will be required to complete the Dual Enrollment Checklist.
After being accepted/admitted to the Dual Enrollment Program of your choice, you and your parent/guardian will be required to complete The Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement/Funding Application found on the GAFutures Website.
Once the Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement/Funding Application is completed by the student and guardian on the GAFutures Website, it is time to meet with your high school counselor for your Dual Enrollment Advisement Meeting to select the courses to be taken at your Dual Enrollment Institution.
