Welcome families!
My name is Randa Alexander, and I am absolutely thrilled to serve your family during the 2025–2026 school year! This will be my seventh year as a classroom teacher and my 17th year as part of the Wesley Lakes Elementary family.
I was born and raised in central New Jersey and relocated to Georgia with my family in 2008. I’m happily married and the proud mom of five wonderful children, ages 30, 24, 22, 20, and 16. We live on a small homestead where we grow some of our own food and raise a few animals—a lifestyle that keeps us grounded and connected to nature. I also enjoy traveling—especially cruising—DIY projects, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. One of my greatest joys is teaching others about homesteading and sustainability practices.
My journey in education began right here at Wesley Lakes, where I worked as an Autism paraprofessional for seven years—in the very classroom I’ll be teaching in this year! Inspired by my experience, I pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University in 2018. I continued my studies at Georgia State University, earning a Master’s degree in Special Education, along with endorsements in Reading and Preschool Education in 2021. Most recently, I completed a Specialist degree in Special Education at the University of West Georgia, with an embedded Dyslexia Endorsement.
I am passionate about meeting students where they are, celebrating their progress, and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to a successful and joyful school year together!
