Hello! My name is Santresa Lamar, though my students affectionately call me Ms. San. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Georgia State University and a Master’s degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. Currently, I am pursuing an Education Specialist degree at the University of Georgia, with the goal of making a lasting impact in education, potentially stepping into leadership roles, or even creating my own course offerings to further support student growth.
My career journey has been diverse and dynamic, with a series of transitions, particularly over the years (which I'll leave as a bit of a secret!). I began my professional career in corporate America, where I spent nearly two decades working with a variety of companies in marketing. During this time, I discovered my entrepreneurial spirit and realized I had a unique skill set that lent itself well to business ownership. This realization led me to transition into entrepreneurship, where I proudly built and managed several successful businesses, some of which I’ve since sold, while others I continue to operate. I am thrilled to share my experiences—both the successes and the lessons learned from failures—to help guide today’s youth and make their entrepreneurial journeys a bit easier.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy outdoor activities and staying active. While I’ve transitioned from riding two-wheeled motorcycles to three, I still cherish the thrill of the open road. I also love to travel, exercise, attend plays, and share many more memorable experiences.
I look forward to guiding the next generation of marketers, entrepreneurs, and leaders as they embark on their own journeys.
