LAB FEE
LAB FEE
A production lab fee is necessary for a Theatre Arts program because it helps support the hands-on experiences and materials required for students to participate in quality productions and real-world learning opportunities. Unlike many traditional classes, Theatre Arts relies on consumable supplies, specialized equipment, and production resources that are regularly used and replaced.
Production lab fees help support:
Costumes, makeup, wigs, and wardrobe materials
Set construction supplies such as wood, paint, hardware, and props
Lighting and sound equipment maintenance and upgrades
Scripts, performance rights, and production materials
Technical theatre tools and safety equipment
Printing programs, promotional materials, and show resources
Workshop materials and classroom production projects
Theatre is an applied, performance-based course where students learn by doing. The lab fee allows students to gain authentic experiences in acting, technical theatre, stage production, and collaborative performance work while ensuring they have access to the materials and resources needed for a successful program. These experiences help prepare students for college, careers, and the entertainment industry while maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
💵AAS Theatre Arts Production lab fees ($50 + processing fee) are charged to cover the cost of licensing rights, musical rights, set materials, costumes, makeup, prop equipment, cast shirt, locker fee, tech week meals, 1 show ticket, and production expenses. Please pay your production fee by the end of Semester A: August 2026 or Semester B: January 2027. Thank you so much for investing in and helping this theatre program put on an amazing production in:
Semester A = November 2026 or Semester B = March 2027.
