'Education4Everyone' is the result of our desire to help HCPS students from more economically disadvantaged areas of the county. Through various book donation locations and an online presence, we hope to promote proper and fair access to educational resources at Henrico County Public Schools. Teachers play a fundamental role in the improvement of education because they serve as role models and supporters for students. However, recruiting and retaining exceptional educators has become an urgent issue. Through E4E, we wanted to establish an online presence to address this. We request teachers for brief videos or written blurbs about their teaching experience and post these 'testimonials' on our social media account. This branch of our project was started in the hopes of attracting more interest to teaching as a profession and encouraging aspiring teachers to take the leap.
Hi! I'm a sophomore student at John Randolph Tucker High School and I take part in the international baccalaureate there! In school, I am involved with the school band, the Science Olympiad club, the Red Cross Club, the Model UN Club, Equity Ambassadors, and I am involved in early bird band as well. I also enjoy participating in the cross country and track team throughout the school year. Outside of school am passionate when it comes to my cultural heritage through Kuchipudi classical dance and Carnatic vocal music. I love reading and writing in my free time along with sketching in my free time. I believe that I am a determined, understanding, and versatile student. Though I have other activities I am passionate about helping out the community in any way I can. I have been a part of several organizations helping promote the well-being of our community. For example, I took part in "Tutor Tots" which was a tutoring program helping donate to FeedMore, and I have been tutoring students every summer since Freshman year. It's challenging to believe that so many students are unable to access instruction because of their financial status, and e4e works to try and aid these students and allow them to get the educational resources they deserve; that is why I helped start e4e. I value education and teaching and through e4e, I can spread my knowledge to students that need it.
Hello! My name is Saanvi, and I'm a sophomore enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at John R. Tucker High School. I'm an avid reader who is passionate about expanding her knowledge and sharing it with others! I consider myself a dedicated, inquisitive, and well-rounded high school student with a demonstrated commitment to the education and growth of younger students. Since middle school, my active commitment to various community service projects has allowed to engage with younger students, foster their natural intellectual capabilities, and instill confidence in their learning. Some examples include being a camp counselor for the VCU Creative Arts Day Camp, my role as senior coordinator and volunteer for the student-run organization Youth4Better, virtually tutoring elementary school kids every weekend for the past two years through GIVE Youth, and more. Starting Education4Everyone has allowed me to keep pursuing this profound love for both education and wholeheartedly serving my community. It breaks my heart that the quality of education that many students receive is often dictated by uncontrollable factors, and E4E reflects my desire to shed light on this issue. At school, I'm part of the SATB choir, Equity Ambassadors, Science Olympiad, Spanish Honor Society, Red Cross, and more. Outside of school, I value my culture through my training as a classical dancer and a Carnatic vocalist.
