Math: Choose the Best Measure of Central Tendency ***remember from our lesson Friday: mean, median & mode are all measures of center. If there is an outlier it can mess up the mean (make it too high or too low) so the median or mode might be better. The mode is only a good measure of center if 1- there IS a mode, and 2- the mode is near the center of the data.

The important thing is to THINK about what the exponents mean: multiplying the base times itself as many times as the exponent says. So do the easy ones by multiplying in your head and then check with the calculator to practice using the exponent button. You can use a calculator right away for the larger ones.
