Wilder Student Leadership Program

The National Junior Honor Society is an international student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. The NJHS was founded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and today has chapters in the United States, other U.S. territories, and around the world.

Application and Selection Required

The Book Club partners with the teen librarian from the HCPL North Park branch to:

• Read ARCs

• Recommend titles for purchase to HCPL and WMS libraries

• Promote literacy around the school

• Help update the school collection to be more diverse and inclusive.

Whether you invest in Nike, Disney or Six Flags, learning about the stock market and how to make money in the stock market can be educational and FUN! Learn how to maximize returns in a real-time, stock market simulation game!

In Game On! you will learn about how to be the healthiest you and get moving at home with different physical activities such as active games, boxing, dance, and more!

Warrior...tree...downward dog….going somewhere? Namaste inside and have fun with yoga! This introductory class will allow students to get active while practicing yoga and mindfulness.

Wild about Minecraft? Show off your master building, creative and coding skills. Whether you dream of creating cities, mansions, or some other special projects, come enjoy Minecraft in a fun collaborative atmosphere.

Wilder Dance Team allows students to participate in learning a number of dance styles ranging from Ballet to majorette. Students often perform in school wide assemblies and county dance team competitions.

SCA will come together to make time at school a fun and exciting place to learn. They create a government and they advocate for the student body to enhance student life.

Calling all ballers! Are you a student athlete looking to keep your game and academics tight? Meet, train, and get get tips from college level student-athletes for success.

Are you interested in law, debate, and or discussing important hot topics? In this class students will learn from real attorneys about their rights and and using their voice in the United States.

Bring the Museum to you with a live, virtual Digital Demo! Our virtual lessons are highly interactive and designed to involve students in STEM through inquiry, hands-on activities and demonstrations.

The WMS Show Choir is a performance group combining choral singing with choreographed movement or dance.

Wilder Productions is a home for actors, directors, choreographers, stage managers, and filmmakers. We will gather virtually (and later in person) to collaborate on projects and build skills in the areas about which our members are passionate.

Beautiful Minds Mentoring is a mentoring program designed to help young ladies at Wilder Middle School grow personally, professionally, academically. The program is designed to help each girl to feel valued, appreciated, and supported.

Interested in playing the guitar or saxophone? Make amazing music with your friends while learning to play.

The LGBTQ+ Pride Club is a safe space where LGBTQ+ students and their allies can learn about and discuss important topics related to their identity. These topics include LGBTQ+ history, events, and making Wilder a safer and more accepting place for students regardless of their sexual or gender identity.

Parent Permission Required

Exploring the STEM+ world outside of the Wilder walls with projects and expeditions. From caving to behind the scenes at airports to exploring ecosystems, students engage in an authentic STEM+ experience.
