About Mrs. Walker:

I'm ready for another great year with my 2nd graders in the Hive! I joined the Stinger family in 2022.  This year will be my 24th year as an educator. Prior to SPES, I spent 14 years teaching 2nd grade at Maude Trevvett Elementary in Henrico. I have also taught grades 1-3 in Richmond City, Delaware and North Carolina. I was born and raised in Newark, Delaware. I attended North Carolina Wesleyan, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  I live in Short Pump with my family: my husband David, and I am a proud stepmom to my sons Jeremy & Ethan. We have a giant goldendoodle, Wally.  Jeremy is a graduate of Godwin High and JMU, and he works as a local realtor with the Yeatman Group. Ethan attends Godwin High. During my free time, I enjoy reading, gardening & home projects, trips to the beach, playing with our dog, exercising, dining out, playing cards, and I cherish time spent with my family and friends.
