She firmly believes that (in the words of author Ross Greene) “kids do well if they can. ” She has had significant experience working with children and families who are dealing with anxiety . Mrs. Knitter was the Christie Award nominee for Johnson Elementary School in 2015 and for Echo Lake Elementary in 2021. In her free time she enjoys reading, canoeing, being outside, and hanging out with her family. Mrs. Knitter’s other passion is serving as the Feed My Starving Children Coordinator at Gayton Church, which has provided and packed over 2 million meals for hungry kids thus far.
