Hi guys!

I’m really excited about the upcoming school year and I hope you are too! This will be my 16th year teaching. I have taught grades 3-5, as well as taught drama and theater courses and have even taught English to students in Korea! I have coached basketball for AAU as well as for the school system. I enjoy art from computer graphics to pottery as well as music. My wife is a classical pianist who will be going back to school this fall to study jazz music performance at VCU. I have Jack Russel Terrier named Rudy. I enjoy traveling (and have visited over 20 different countries!), camping and hiking, photography, reading, music, and playing board games and computer games. I am really looking forward to getting to know my students and their families this upcoming year!

I believe the classroom should be both a fun and structured learning environment that has clear goals and creative ways to reach them. I believe schoolwork should be rigorous and appropriately challenging for students individually. Students will find many opportunities to engage in projects and work collaboratively with their classmates.
