March and April 2020

Kindergarten, first grade - Muscles; fitness stations, catch; underhand throw; hockey- dribble, pass and shoot; golf

Second, third grade - Muscles; fitness stations, catch; underhand throw; overhand throw; hockey- dribble, pass and shoot; golf

Fourth grade - Muscles; fitness stations; fitness testing; catch; overhand throw; golf

Fifth grade - Aquatic Safety in preparation for our field trip on April 2 or 3; fitness testing, fitness stations; muscles


January and February 2020

Kindergarten, first grade - Ball activities - drop and catch, toss and catch, dribbling with fingerpads of hands, bounce pass; nutrition - MyPlate (5 food groups - grains, protein, vegetables, fruit, dairy), hydration, food group matching; pedometers; heart; bones; muscles; short jump rope skills; healthy choices

Second grade, third grade - basketball activities - dribbling, bounce pass and chest pass, proper shooting form; nutrition (5 food groups - grains, protein, vegetables, fruit, dairy), hydration, making a meal; pedometers; heart; bones; muscles; short jump rope skills, long jump rope skills; harmful effects of drugs and the benefits of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle, making healthy choices

Fourth grade and fifth grade - basketball activities - dribbling, passing, shooting, lead-up games; nutrition - 5 food groups, macronutrients - carbohdrates, fat, protein, RDA - recommended daily amount, making a meal with foods from each food group, portion size; heart, bones, muscles, short jump rope skills, long jump rope skills, Chinese jump rope skills; peer pressure, harmful effects of drugs and the benefits of a healthy and drug-free lifestyle, say "No" to drugs


November and December 2019

Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade - Body Control --jump and land, roll (sideways - egg, dog, log, pencil), balance, transfer of weight (donkey kicks, switch kicks, hands stands, cartwheels, round-offs); speed stacking; cooperative activities; community helpers, water safety; hazardous products

Fourth and Fifth grade - Putting all of these Body Control skills into a sequence --jump and land, roll (sideways - egg, dog, log, pencil and/or forward roll), balance, transfer of weight (donkey kicks, switch kicks, hands stands, cartwheels, round-offs); speed stacking; cooperative activities; cardiorespiratory endurance; body composition


September and October 2019

Kindergarten and first grade - General and Personal space; directions, levels, pathways; Relationship to Object words - under, over, in front of, behind, inside, outside, close to, far away, around, through, beside; gross motor testing, height and weight; general rules; pedestrian and bike safety; stranger danger; Success Week; stations; partner pacer

Second grade - General and Personal space; directions, levels, pathways; Relationship to Object words - under, over, in front of, behind, inside, outside, close to, far away, around, through, beside; gross motor testing; height and weight; flexibility; general rules; pedestrian and bike safety; stranger danger; cardiorespiratory endurance; muscular strength and endurance; Success Week; stations; partner pacer
