• Build a safe school and classroom climate

• Encourage students to be active members of their school and community

All lessons incorporate and build social emotional skills.

Small group counseling serves as an opportunity for students to connect and converse about a specific experience. A group may start Subjects are based on anything that several students may be experiencing such as:

• Being a new student

• Divorce

• Loss in the family

• Building resilience

• Making friends

• etc.

Group counseling can not only help students build rapport with others, but it lets them know they are not alone in their feelings and that others have experienced something similar. All counseling sessions follow procedures of confidentiality, so students can feel safe speaking with their counselors.

Individual counseling is available to all students and may be requested by parents, students and teachers. This is a service for students who have a very specific need that would best be discussed one-on-one. Student may discuss any topic and can trust that sessions are personalized to address their needs.
