Desmos Area Model Use the Desmos calculator to enter factors and create virtual area models.
Create area models for multiplication and division using virtual Base 10 Blocks.
Number Activities Multiplication A website for teacher use that includes lesson ideas for multiplication (includes multi-step problems).
Number Activities Addition and Subtraction A website for teacher use that includes lesson ideas for addition and subtraction (includes multi-step problems).
Thinking Blocks Addition and Subtraction This website allows students to model addition and subtraction using bar models. Provides scaffolding for each of the major structures for addition and subtraction.
Base Ten Blocks Use Rectangle Multiplication to Visualize the multiplication of two numbers as an area. Can be used to aid in the connection between the box method and the traditional algorithm - choose the common view.
Interpreting Remainders City Blocks Computer activity that involves interpreting what to do with the remainder in a division problem based on the situation. Powerful when used as a discussion tool.

Websites for Place Value Practice:
Place Value to 1,000-Requires students to drag digits to the correct place value to create the standard form of a number.
Place Value Game-A game where students place digits to make the largest number, can specify the number of digits.
Place Value -Tutorials, activities, and models that support place value understanding.
Age Calculator - A site that calculates your age to the nearest day, hour, minute, and second (great for students to read, compare, or round large numbers)
Kahn Academy site for video and practice problems.

Create a Graph A website that allows students to create different types of graphs.
Constructing Line Graphs A tutorial on constructing line graphs.
Interpreting Line Graphs A tutorial on interpreting and creating line graphs. Includes many examples.
Twelve Days of Christmas Graphing A site that provides current prices for the gifts in “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. Includes a short video that introduces the site. Bar graphs can be constructed to compare the cost of each item. Line graphs can be constructed to show how the cost of each item or the total cost of all gifts has changed over time.
Line Graph Interpretation A set of ten multiple choice questions that require interpreting line graphs. Excellent for class discussion.
