05/01/2025 We have changed the date for graduation practice 2 and the Senior Picnic due to a conflict with ACE graduations. Below is our important dates timeline: 

5/14 - LAST ACADEMIC DAY FOR SENIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5/14- Pay outstanding fees in the library during AE- Cash or Card, no checks

5/14 - After D lunch- 1:15 PM Senior Awards Practice  - seniors called down from class

5/15 - Senior exams block 1 and 3

5/16-  Senior Exams blocks  2 and 4

5/18- Senior Awards Assembly: Sunday 6-8pm

5/19- Senior Exams blocks 5 and 7

5/19- 12pm all fees must be paid to receive graduation packet on 23rd. 

5/20- Senior exams 6 and 8

5/23- Graduation practice # 2 @930 followed by Senior Picnic. 

5/28 - Graduation!! 3PM- Meet at school @ 11:45 for group picture @ 12:30 and buses to graduation leaving at 1pm

04/16/2025 Today we had a senior meeting during AE. The slide show is embedded under the Documents tab above. I also put the link to the graduation agreement there as well. Please remeber that every senior must complete the survey found in Major Clarity. Info about that survey is in the slide show. Information abotu purchasing prom tickets is on slide 23. 

03/26/2025 Update on tickets for graduation. We were told, for now, each Senior will receive 6 graduation tickets. The Senior graduating does not count as one of the 6. Any guest of any age must have a ticket. At issue here is parking. Due to construction, parking at the facility is limited. This means that each student will be issued one parking pass. We will transport students to the venue but students will be leaving with their families. 

If you are participating in the Senior Walk, please remember to have a parent/guardian log in to powerschool and submit the permission slip for the "Senior Walk" through Power School Forms. https://sis.henrico.k12.va.us/public/home.html . Click on "Forms" in the menu, and complete the "Field Trip Form Specific to this event titles "HCPS Senior Walk". This is due by Thursday, March 27th.

01/27/25 Strawbridge will be on campus on February 10th for those interested in taking pictures in their cap and gown. They will have caps, gowns and tassels for students to use. You are welcome to bring your cap and gown if you wish. They will only be photographing those students who have paid for picture packages. The flyer to pay / order online is located under the documents tab above. You must have your confirmation number to take your picture. Paper picture forms are available for pick up in the main office. If you complete the paper form, you would submit it with cash or check on the day of pictures directly to Strawbridge.

12/2 Jostens reached out today to let me know that the deadline to order Graduation Announcements through them is December 15th.

10/4- Schoology post about convocation posted at 9:30. No caps at convocation, just gowns. No tennis shoes or flip flops. Clothing beyond the length of the gown should be dark for graduation. For convocation, you may wear khakis. This is a kind of dress rehearsal for graduation. Students arrive by 9:15. Please ask your parents/Guardians to arrive no earlier than 9:30 as they will be parking in the bus loop and we will have busses until then. 

We will have practice on Tuesday 10/8 around 10:15 and running through AE. You do not need your gown. Regular school clothes are appropriate.

9/26- Cap and Gown distribution began today at lunches. If you pay your fees by 11PM, they should show up on my report the next day for you to pick up your cap and gown during the next day's lunches. Payments take overnight to show up on my report. 

You may not decorate your cap. Tassels will be handed out prior to graduation. You will wear only your gown for convocation not the cap. Please
        keep your cap in a safe place at home. Regular school clothes can be worn to practice on 10/8. You do not need your gown for practice.

8/26 - The Senior makeup picture day has been changed from 10/14 to 10/15 and 10/16. They will make a schedule for all student who have not taken a picture. Retakes will be at the end of the day.
