mission

Henrico County Public Schools, an innovative leader in educational excellence, will actively engage our students in diverse learning experiences that inspire and empower them to become contributing citizens.

Students will be challenged to develop mathematical skills in problem solving, communication, reasoning, connections, and representations as they gain knowledge of mathematics.

math goals

The goal of mathematics in Henrico County Public Schools is to provide opportunities for all students to succeed through student-centered learning, meaningful discourse, and collaboration. Working as a community of learners, students will develop skills that allow them to communicate and reason mathematically, make connections between different areas of mathematics as well as between mathematics and other disciplines, use mathematical representations to model and interpret mathematical situations, and become mathematical problem solvers.
