Child Growth and Development: a CFE elective course that examines different stages of development from infancy to young adult
Tech and Communication: a CFE elective that explores the fundamentals of advancing technology and classroom applications, develops skills in the creation and delivery of lessons using technology, and reinforces data interpretation skills
Foundations of Teaching: examines the historical and philosophical foundation of education, provides observation opportunities to analyze teaching methods and use of modern educational theory, and develops skills in lesson plan creation
Instructional Design: students analyze and develop solutions to organizational problems that improve employee effectiveness, use data to drive instruction and lesson plan creation, and analyze the learning needs and goals of organizations
Internship: 60 hour internship with a local agency or organization that give students opportunities to practice and model leadership qualities
Diverse Learners: students will analyze the effect of racial and cultural diversity on the US education system, understand the impact of socioeconomic/ELL/special education statuses on the learning needs of individuals, and explain the different perspectives concerning multicultural education, gender diversity, and motivation for diverse learners
